Set up your desk,
step by step

The same sequence an ergonomist uses, in the right order: chair first, then desk, then keyboard and monitor. For seated and standing setups.

Chair height

Adjust your chair height so your feet rest flat on the floor and your knees sit at roughly a right angle (90-100°).

Why

Everything above your chair follows from this: a seat that is too high or too low pushes pressure into your thighs and tilts your whole posture from the base up.

Using a laptop? A laptop alone can never satisfy both the keyboard and monitor steps. Raise the screen (stand or a stack of books) and use a separate keyboard and mouse if you can.
